Location

The Hotel St. George is located in downtown Milan, near the Central Station and red line (Porta Venezia) and yellow line (Repubblica) subway stops  that lead to Fieramilanocity and the Rho-Pero expo center.

Expo

Milan hosts numerous expos and trade fairs each year at the Fieramilanocity and new Rho-Pero expo center. The latter is now recognized as one of the leading European expo centers, with eight pavilions that provide almost 350 thousand square meters, most intended for the Expo 2015. Lazzaretto

Near the Hotel St. George stand the Lazzaretto, one of the most famous Sforzesco buildings in Milan, built at the turn of the sixteenth century for victims of the plague. Now, the large building demolished in 1882, only a the short segment of Via San Gregorio and the octagon from the Neoclassic San Carlo church are visible, reopened to prayer in 1884.

How to get here

BY PLANE | From the Milan Linate airport: 20 minutes by taxi, or shuttle bus (ATM, line 73) to Piazza San Babila; from there, the red subway line heading towards Sesto San Giovanni, until Porta Venezia.
From the Milan Malpensa airport: 45 minutes by taxi, or Malpensa Express train to Cadorna; from here, the red subway line towards Sesto San Giovanni, until Porta Venezia, or blue line (local train) to the Porta Venezia stop. Alternatively, Gran Turismo Malpensa Shuttle bus: it departs every 20 minutes and stops at the Central Station. 
From the Orio al Serio airport: 40 minutes by taxi; the Gran Turismo OrioShuttle bus takes about 60 minutes to reach the Milan Central Station without any intermediate stops.

BY TRAIN | 5-10 minutes by taxi or subway (green line and then red line, Porta Venezia stop or yellow line Repubblica stop); the hotel is a 20-minute walk from the Milan Central train station. 

BY CAR | From the main highway tollbooths, take the tangenziale est and exit at Lambrate. Follow directions for Milan centro and Corso Buenos Aires. The Hotel St. George is on Viale Tunisia, main street crossing the Corso, next to the Arcobaleno cinema.
